Travelling the World on a Budget: Magical 4-Day Trip to Disneyland Paris
Our four-day trip to Disneyland Paris was nothing short of magical. My girlfriend and I were excited to experience the enchantment of the park, and we decided to stay for a few days to fully immerse ourselves in the fun without rushing. We took the Eurostar from London, arriving in Paris in just a couple of hours, and from there, we headed straight to the park.
We stayed at Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe, which was perfect for the occasion. The Cars-themed hotel was vibrant and fun, featuring murals of Lightning McQueen and Mater, and it made for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The hotel was just a short walk from the park, which made it convenient for popping back after a long day of excitement.
One of the major perks of staying on-site was the Extra Magic Hours. This gave us early access to the park, so we were able to enjoy some of the top attractions before the crowds arrived. We headed straight for Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, a thrilling rollercoaster that had us on the edge of our seats. We also made sure to experience Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast and Pirates of the Caribbean, both of which were highlights.
Disneyland Paris is known for its immersive theming, and we spent a lot of time just taking in the surroundings. Main Street was always buzzing, with street performers and the unmistakable Disney soundtrack filling the air. We took a break and grabbed a snack, indulging in Disney’s famous churros and popcorn.
Exploring Sleeping Beauty Castle was one of the top moments of our trip. Not only is the castle stunning on the outside, but there’s also a hidden dragon lair beneath it, where we encountered an animatronic dragon—such a unique feature of Disneyland Paris. The castle offered breathtaking views of the park, making it the perfect spot to pause and enjoy the atmosphere.
We also enjoyed the Disney Stars on Parade, where we watched all our favourite characters in their festive floats. The parade was vibrant, energetic, and full of music and confetti, making it a must-see during our visit.
Beyond Disneyland Park, we spent a day at Walt Disney Studios Park, where we had a blast on Ratatouille: The Adventure, a 4D ride that shrinks you down to the size of a rat. We also braved The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, which was a thrilling experience with a few screams along the way.
The food in the park was surprisingly good. We enjoyed a mix of quick bites and sit-down meals, and we were especially impressed with the variety and quality of food available. After a long day in the park, having a satisfying meal was the perfect way to end our evenings.
On our final day, we ventured into Paris itself. We visited the Eiffel Tower, soaking in the views of the city, and took a stroll along the Champs-Élysées, stopping for a coffee in a typical Parisian café. It was a lovely way to end our trip before catching the Eurostar back to London.
Overall, our four days at Disneyland Paris were filled with adventure, fun, and unforgettable memories. The combination of world-class attractions, delicious food, and the enchanting atmosphere made it a trip we won’t forget. Whether you're a lifelong Disney fan or just looking for a magical getaway, Disneyland Paris is definitely worth the visit. We can’t wait to return!
